Our Mission

Mission:  

 

The mission of Carnell Williams-Thomas Foundation is to provide support and assistance to individuals who have been a victim of gun violence and families who had someone murdered due to gun violence. The Foundation is where families can share their feelings and grief with other families that have experienced the same tragic loss. We will work with other organizations and representatives to end gun violence in the community and create a safe and just society for all. 

 

Vision: 

 

A community where no one is killed or injured by gun violence. 

 

Values: 

 

We believe that gun violence is a public health crisis that can be prevented. We believe that common sense gun safety laws are essential to reducing gun violence. We believe that everyone has the right to live free from the fear of gun violence. 

 

Goals: 

 

Pass common sense gun safety laws at the federal, state, and local levels. Invest in community-based programs that prevent gun violence. Support victims of gun violence and their families educate the public on the dangers of gun violence. 

 

Strategies: 

 

We will collaborate with elected officials to pass common- sense gun safety laws. We will fund community- based programs that prevent gun violence. We will provide support to victims of gun violence and their families. We will educate the public about the dangers of gun violence. Inform individuals and group about counseling services, financial assistance for medical expenses, funeral costs, and other expenses related to gun violence. Help victims navigate the legal system. Lobbying elected officials to pass gun safety laws. Partner with community organizations to raise awareness about gun violence.

We will partner with other organizations working to end gun violence. We will partner with elected officials at the levels of government. We will partner with community organizations working to prevent gun violence. We will partner with victims of gun violence and their families. Connect victims and resources such as counseling, financial assistance, and legal aid. Advocate for policies that will prevent gun violence. Educate the public about the impact of gun violence.

We marched to Tallahassee's capital each year with other organizations to advocate for gun safety laws and support for gun violence prevention and to demand that elected officials take action.
